This year, my website Mick's Rijmwoordenboek (www.rijmwoordenboek.nl) is celebrating its 25th anniversary!
Who could have ever imagined, in 1999, that this site, which started as a small hobby project, would still be around 25 years later?! I still remember that the first 'Sinterklaas' celebration after the site was launched, the site received about 30,000 page views in one day, causing the University web server, where the site was hosted, to crash. Nowadays, it gets over 2 million page views per day around Sinterklaas, hosted on a scalable cloud environment to handle the peak load.
Here's to another 25 years!!
